Mostly because of the first Serenity comic miniseries, I got back into comics in general, especially after I found Heavy Ink (www.heavyink.com) and I saw today that my copy of #1 shipped out to me today and should be in my paws by Friday or Saturday - if you've already got it, don't spoil it, but feel free to gush on how great it is in general...I hope!
I got mine at the local comic store the day it released. I pre ordered the other two, went home and read straight through it. They had like 10 more copies on the shelf and it was almost closing time. I thought that was not a good sign of fans in the area. I was accually worried they would be sold out by the time I got off work and got to the store.
I got mine on Monday, kinda like an early birthday present, and I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the others - I'd really like to see a story arc with less Alliance and more development of Blue Sun, I think it, as well as the entire franchise obviously, is an untapped well of potential shiny goodness...
I've read #2, they're very good. I especially liked the use of visuals in #2 to illustrate each person's fantasy without necessarily needing to say it. River's was classic!
Better Days rocked. I picked up all three while I was at the Fan Expo in Toronto, Canada. That was also the first convention I've ever gone to (wasn't the main focus of my trip, my sister studies art up there.)
