- I first saw Serenity when I rented the DVD in 2005. I was hooked. I immediately ordered the Firefly DVD set. I watched it all in 3 days. Now I can’t find anything else on TV to watch that I enjoy. I never saw it when it originally aired as I was other wise busy on some out-of-the-country projects with Uncle Sam. I think the whole concept speaks to me because of my family history. I am all about freedom and have always had a hard time conforming. Not that I haven’t, but you must be able to work in the system that you live.
I like doing things with my children, 2 girls, both of whom like Firefly. They are almost as obsessed as I am. We drive my wife nuts when we constantly quote from the TV/Movie. We kayak, surf, play soccer, fish, sail, hike, geocache, anything else that might be fun, mostly outdoor fun. So far we have been to two Can’t Stop the Signal events, the one in St Pete and the one at the Picture Show. We’ll be there next year too.
