Oooh, I sometimes just hate having to work 60+ hours a week. It just doesn't sit right with me. Being a full time student, full time manager, and a full time admin lead for CSTS global tends to make you stay up 24 hours straight. Which is actually what hour I'm on at the moment. 24. Been up for a full day trying to get everything crammed into one weekend before my lackluster 60-hour weeks turn into 75+ hour weeks. Then it gets hectic.
I'm still trying to rally support over here on the east coast of Florida for
Daytona Beach's CSTS event in June. That's hard enough when you live in the area currently populated by NASCAR. Harder when you're stuck in an apartment 100 miles away to attend the final semester of college. (Yay for graduation).
I know there's been a lot of trouble getting Tampa's event off the ground. Last year, I drove all the way out to the west coast to make it and it was well worth the trip. Me and my friends had a great time. Even running my own event, I still would love to make that trek out to the bay area again, just because you guys have an amazing chinese buffet that FireFlyGal showed me.
But, no matter what, I'm sure there'll be plenty of benefits to whoever takes the helm for CSTS Tampa '09. I hope to see a sister event along the I-4 corridor. It's worth it. Trust me. My event is in the works, and already I've made friends to last a lifetime.
